Windsor Steel
Corporation
was founded by Robert J. Fogler and Joseph Walsh in 1972 as a distributor of tool and
specialty steel. With distinguished careers in the steel industry, they combined
forces to provide "cut to length" and one and two day delivery of
steel to end users in Connecticut and Massachusetts. In 1986 Robert J. Fogler became the sole
owner of Windsor Steel. He brought his son Andrew M. Fogler and daughter
Joanne Patenaude into the business while adding carbon and alloy steel to their
product line. They are now co-owners and have a staff of 18 people
including Meredith Betts and James Mann, grandchildren of Robert J. Fogler.
Due to the dramatic
expansion of business over the past few years, Windsor Steel Corporation built a new corporate facility. The majority of orders
continue to be taken by our knowledgeable sales staff, who with the combined
experience of over 70 years make every effort to accommodate all of our
customers' steel needs. Supporting their efforts is our knowledgeable outside sales
staff. We
currently operate five trucks out of the warehouse that deliver within an 80-
mile radius of the warehouse. Customer pick-ups, UPS or common carrier
makes the balance of shipments. We operate five band and vertical saws (three automatic saws ).
